Originally painted in 2005,Birch Bark & Birds shows three nuthatches playing amongst birch trees, a common setting for many of Charley Harper’s pieces. The nuthatches provide a touch of color and energy to the forest scene while the birch trees display the simple, geometric beauty that Harper found in all aspects of nature.
