--About the Original Painting and the View--
This view is of Puffers Pond in Amherst, Massachusetts. I did this oil painting in November of 2021. The weather was great, but it was a bit cold out!!

Sophie Theroux is an "en plein air" painter in Western Massachusetts. She works in oils and most of her paintings feature the Pioneer Valley. "I grew up in the woods in Leeds gallivanting around the mountains and swimming in the Mill River. It was so awe-inspiring and I remember being so captivated by it. I was drawn to paint it so that I could have some way to respond to how beautiful it looked."
